Notorious Productions (Notorious) is an independent film and television production company based in New York City. We develop, finance, and produce premium entertainment content for theatrical, broadcast, and streaming audiences worldwide.

Notorious was co-founded in 2021 by longtime Miramax Films creative executive John Fahy, and industry veterans John Harris and Michael Liebman.

Harris is the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Fahy is its Chairman and Chief Creative Officer. Liebman is its Vice President of Development and Production.

The Notorious aesthetic is original, ambitious, provocative, and award-winning, in the vein of legendary studio Miramax Films, where Mr. Fahy spent many years working on a slew of notorious projects including Clerks, Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Gangs of New York, Kids, Trainspotting, Sling Blade, Fahrenheit 9/11, Dogma, Priest, Project Greenlight, Chicago, Scream, Scary Movie, The Crow, Spy Kids, From Dusk Til Dawn, Heavenly Creatures, Bullets Over Broadway, and Shakespeare in Love.

About the Producers

John Fahy

John Fahy is an award-winning screenwriter, director, and creative executive based in New York City.

Over the course of his career John has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the industry’s most prolific talents including Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Danny Boyle, Peter Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron, Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Vince Vaughan, Johnny Depp, and Bob Thornton.

During his storied tenure as a Miramax Films creative executive, John helped the studio win three best picture Oscars in seven years, and turn out dozens of hit movies including Pulp Fiction, Shakespeare in Love, Good Will Hunting, Gangs of New York, Chicago, Trainspotting, Clerks, Velvet Goldmine, Life is Beautiful, and The English Patient.

John holds a bachelors degree from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Communications and a graduate degree in Screenwriting and Film Directing from NYU.

John Harris

John Harris is a successful entrepreneur, seasoned executive and devoted patron of the arts.

John now resides in Tampa Florida where he runs several successful businesses including the independent blues label 43rd Big Idea Records, collaborating with the likes of Andrew Jr. Boy Jones on his albums ‘Jr Boy Live’ and ’I Know What It’s Like’.

In 2020, John teamed up with veteran screenwriter John Fahy to develop a feature length bio-pic of, and ode to, the legend of Stevie Ray Vaughan. In 2016, John’s production company 43rd Big Idea Films produced and distributed a highly-regarded documentary about the Stevie Ray Vaughan Scholarship Fund entitled ‘Are You With Me?’

Michael Liebman

Michael is an American film producer and private equity executive, with a lifelong passion for entertainment, sports and real estate. As a graduate of Hofstra’s Film School, Michael has pursued his love of film and undertaken countless film producing opportunities.

He has worked directly and under the tutelage of Celine Rattray, co-owner of Maven Pictures, an Academy Award Nominated and Golden Globe winning film Production Company. At Maven he had the opportunity to interact with directors, including Boaz Yakin (Remember the Titans), Academy Award Winner, Guy Nativ, and many others.

His credits include Associate Producer on The Kindergarten Teacher and Wildling. Co-Producer on Boarding School, and Production Consultant on Skin and Driveways.

Jason Miller

Jason Miller is a highly-accomplished music industry executive, integral in the career development of numerous major artists including Beyoncé Knowles, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Fallon, and Maroon 5.

Jason spent the first 10 years of his career at talent agency powerhouse Creative Artists Agency (CAA), followed by 5 years as SVP at Live Nation, before turning his talents to feature film production.

Jason’s extensive expertise in talent management, booking, touring, streaming, merchandising, licensing, and sponsorships enabled him to executive produce successful international tours for many major acts including Coldplay, John Mayer, Madonna, and Bruno Mars.

Jason holds a B.S. from Syracuse University and MBAs from UCLA‘s Anderson School of Management and National University of Singapore.
